Understand why an option is missing or an action is denied

An option can be missing for several reasons. Identifying the correct layer avoids granting an administrator role to solve a plan, team, or property issue.

Quick check#

  1. Team: open the user menu and confirm the active team.
  2. Membership state: if the team says your access is disabled, contact its administrator.
  3. Data processing agreement: if its review page appears, a person permitted to manage the team must accept the current version.
  4. Plan: look for a message saying the feature is unavailable or there is no active subscription.
  5. Role: compare the action with your real job.
  6. Resource: confirm that the property, reservation, task, or ticket is assigned or authorized for you.
  7. Validation: correct the highlighted fields and preserve the other details before saving again.

Interpret common messages#

  • Feature unavailable on your plan: the account administrator must review the plan. Changing your role does not enable the module.
  • Limit reached: the team reached the reported numeric maximum. Do not delete operating records to bypass it; ask the administrator to review the count and plan.
  • You need an active subscription: creation remains blocked until the account holder resolves the subscription.
  • You must review the data processing agreement: this is not a role or plan error. Read the displayed version and, if you can manage the team, accept it; otherwise contact the team administrator.
  • Access denied or 403: a permission, resource authorization, or security condition is missing. Request only the required action and property.
  • Not found or 404: the record may belong to another team, have changed, or be unauthorized. Do not conclude that it was deleted.
  • Too many attempts: wait for the reported interval before trying again.
  • General error: do not repeat payments, sends, cancellations, or completion actions until you check the record's state.

What the administrator should review#

  • active team membership;
  • current team data processing agreement acceptance;
  • role or role combination;
  • explicit property and resource authorization;
  • linked employee, property-owner, or provider profile;
  • plan, feature, and numeric limit;
  • current record state and any external provider involved.

Run the check with the affected account. An administrator account may see more and hide the problem.

Escalate without expanding access#

If it still fails, share the team, screen, action, record identifier, time, and exact error text. Do not request “all permissions,” and do not send passwords, codes, card details, certificates, or complete guest data.
