Create a monthly rate plan
Define a base price for each month and reuse the plan across one or more properties.

A rate plan contains a base nightly price for each month. You can reuse it for properties with a similar strategy, but it does not affect an operation until you assign it.
This workflow is for owners and agency administrators with rate-plan creation permission.
Before you start#

Configure the global pricing baseline first. Then prepare:
- a name that explains how the plan is used;
- twelve positive base prices, one for each month;
- the properties that will share this strategy.
Avoid names such as "Plan 1." A name such as "City centre · 2 bedrooms" makes the intent recognizable without opening the plan.
Create the plan#

- Open Price Calendar.
- Go to Rate Plans.
- Select Create.
- Enter the plan name.
- Enter the Rate per night for January through December.
- Review the transitions between low, shoulder, and high season.
- Save the plan.
Every month is required and every price must meet the form's positive minimum.
Current August validation limitation: August does not currently receive the same server-side numeric check as the other eleven months. Always enter a positive numeric value and review August explicitly. If August behaves differently, do not rely on the discrepancy; correct the value and contact support.
What the examples show#
- Complete form — not saved: a fictional plan has a descriptive name and all twelve monthly prices, ready for final review. No action has been submitted and nothing has been stored.
- Validation error — not saved: January contains
0, so the real server minimum rejects it. Correct January before saving; nothing has been stored. - Reopened editor — not a read-only summary: reopening a plan returns to the same edit form because there is currently no separate read-only rate-plan summary. Recheck all twelve values before continuing.
Verify before assigning#

Return to Rate Plans, open the plan, and check all twelve amounts. Compare at least:
- the least expensive month;
- the most expensive month;
- one season change;
- Christmas or another special period that may need an additional rule.
The plan defines a monthly baseline. Global rules, holiday periods, adjustments, and overrides may change the calculated price for a specific date.
Errors and recovery#

- A month is missing: complete all twelve fields before saving.
- Price rejected: enter a positive number and check the decimal separator.
- Create is missing: you need permission to create rate plans; ask an administrator to review your access.
- The wrong plan is already assigned: do not delete the plan to correct it. Change the assignment for the affected period.
- Two plans are almost identical: confirm which one should remain with the pricing owner before making new assignments.
