Understand the current operational-timezone boundary
Know when to verify a time because Holidario does not yet support a team- or property-specific timezone.

Holidario does not currently provide a timezone selector per team, office, or property. Processes that depend on the configured operational timezone use Europe/Madrid by default.
Who this affects#
This boundary is especially important for agencies operating in the Canary Islands or teams coordinating properties and staff across more than one timezone. The operational language does not change the timezone.
Do not assume that every displayed date, scheduled alert, or automated process has been converted to the property's local time. The exact interpretation depends on the workflow that produces that time.
Interpret it for your work#
- System Default reference Holidario uses Europe/Madrid when a workflow depends on the operational timezone.
- Screen Record the displayed time Identify the exact screen or automation; one view does not prove how another behaves.
- Rental Compare local time Confirm timezone, date, and expected time, especially in the Canary Islands or multi-zone teams.
- Team Apply a verified rule Communicate the manual interpretation to front desk, cleaning, maintenance, or owner for their task.
- Front desk and managers: confirm the property's local time before communicating arrivals, departures, scheduled messages, or key handovers.
- Internal or external cleaning: if a task time is unclear, confirm local time with the service coordinator before travelling or recording a delay.
- External maintenance: use the time agreed in the ticket or with the coordinator; do not treat a timestamp as a confirmed local appointment.
- Agency-managed property owner: ask the agency about any time affecting a stay or intervention; do not edit the reservation to compensate.
- Account owner: verify real workflows during onboarding with Check the team's time-based workflows and communicate the temporary rule to every function.
Do not compensate for a difference by changing the real times on reservations or tasks. Those values may feed channels and other processes.
Escalation#
If you find a difference, report the team, property, screen or automation, date, expected local time, and observed time. Do not promise guests or staff an automatic conversion until that specific workflow has been verified.
Per-team or per-property timezone configuration must be treated as a pending product limitation, not an administrator task available under Settings.
