Every short-term rental operation needs a normal pickup method and a normal drop-off method. Holidario uses these values when a reservation has no specific exception.
Before configuring it#
- Open the correct operation and verify its property.
- Check the property address.
- If you will use an office, first attach the correct office to the property. The office option is available on the Agency plan.
- Decide separately what happens on arrival and departure.
Only users with manage-team can change these values from the operation record. A manager or front-desk user resolving one stay should use a reservation exception or escalate the permanent change.
Save the normal method#

- On the operation record, scroll to Key handover.
- Select edit beside pickup or drop-off.
- Choose for each direction:
- At the property, to use the accommodation address;
- At the office, to use the office attached to the property on an Agency account;
- Specific location, to enter another address.
- For a specific location, enter an address of no more than 255 characters.
- Save and return to Key handover.
- Visually verify both methods and any displayed address or office.
If several pickup or drop-off methods already exist, the quick editor does not change them: Holidario sends you to the full operation form. Review every row there so contradictory instructions are not left behind.
What this value does and does not do#
The saved method is the operational default. It does not create a reusable lockbox point and does not prove that a message has been sent to the guest.
On Agency accounts, create reusable locations in Create reusable key access points. Reservation exceptions can show a preview and use configured automated messaging; the operation default by itself does not confirm communication delivery.
Check before publishing the property#

- pickup and drop-off are configured separately;
- the address belongs to this property, not another team property;
- the attached office has an operational name, address and schedule;
- no older methods contradict each other;
- staff know when to apply a reservation exception.
If staff intend to consult this record at phone width, treat that rendering as an acceptance test: confirm long addresses remain understandable without relying only on a map. This is not a device-support assumption. If essential text or controls are incomplete, do not approve the field workflow; use a wider screen and report the result.
Problems and recovery#

- Edit is missing: you need
manage-team; ask the administrator to make the change. - Office is missing: confirm the Agency plan and the office attached to the property.
- A specific address will not save: it is required for that method and cannot exceed 255 characters.
- Holidario opens the full form: multiple methods exist; review all of them instead of forcing the quick editor.
- A reservation shows another place: check for an active override. Use Use operation default to remove it when appropriate.
If the displayed value remains wrong after saving, escalate the operation ID, expected method and a screenshot without codes or guest data.
