Configure your booking website identity and content

Prepare branding, languages, logo, links, and legal text before directing traffic to the public website.

For
  • I own or administer an agency
Available on
  • Agency

The outcome is a public website that identifies the agency correctly and presents reviewed content in the languages the agency genuinely supports.

Availability and authority#

This configuration belongs to the Agency plan. You need permission to update Website for the active team. A user with read-only access can check the result, but should not use someone else's account to change it.

Before starting, collect the approved public name, a square logo, supported service languages, official links, and legal text reviewed by the responsible person at the agency. Holidario publishes the content entered; it does not replace legal review.

Configure the brand#

Real Branding and Team Logo forms preloaded with a fictional identity, taglines, neighborhood, palette, and logo.
Visual example generated with fictional data; layout may vary by device.
  1. Confirm the active team and open Website.
  2. In the Layout tab, the first card is Branding: enter the Display Name guests should recognize. The logo, badges and social links stay in the Branding tab.
  3. Add one tagline translation for every language you will maintain. Do not repeat a language.
  4. For the main heading, complete all three hero-tagline parts in every language: text before the accent, highlighted word, and text after it.
  5. In the Colour palette choose the Brand colour, the Accent, the Scheme (light or dark) and the Tone of the neutrals. Every other colour derives from those and each text adjusts itself until it reads; the Checks list only shows what depends on you (text on the cards and the background, and the brand standing out from the cards). Under Advanced you can set the background, surface and text by hand; Derive again recomputes them.
  6. Choose the Heading font, the Body font and the Corners preset (sharp, soft or round). Only fonts hosted by Holidario are offered, so the website never depends on an external service. Under Visitor scheme, "Always as designed" shows your palette to everyone; "Follow the visitor" derives a dark version from your brand (or a light one, if your palette is dark) for anyone with that mode on their device. Density, Headings, Photo corners and Elevation set the site's rhythm (spacing, heading size, photo rounding and shadows) without touching the colours. The Film grain switch adds a fine grain over the page background, like a print; it is on by default and turning it off removes it from the whole website.
  7. Check the Live preview: it is your real website painted with the chosen colours, fonts and corners before you save. Switch between phone and desktop, or open it in a new tab.
  8. Save this card and wait for the update confirmation.

If no custom name or logo is configured, the website can fall back to the team name and default visual copy. That state makes the site openable, but it is not a completed launch review.

Choose a template#

The Layout tab has the Open the layout editor button, which opens the editor in a new window: the templates and sections on one side and your site at full size on the other. At the top, the editor offers five templates: five different sites built from your same texts, photos and colours.

  • Classic is what your site has today: full-bleed cover photo, three-column grid, gallery strip and the booking panel beside.
  • Editorial is typographic and airy: a cover without a photo, one property per row, the property page in one column with booking as a bar at the foot.
  • Boutique is cinematic and sparse: a header floating over the photo, a magazine mosaic, a photo-mosaic gallery and an inverted booking panel. It suggests a dark palette that keeps your brand colours; it is only used if you tick the box.
  • Explorer is a marketplace: the search (where, when, who) opens the site instead of a photo, cards sit beside a map with the filters in view, and the property gallery is a mosaic.
  • Your own design is not a template: it is the card to request a quote for a bespoke site on this same foundation; the button opens an email.
  • Direct is dense and direct: a compact cover with the photo beside, four columns of properties and booking always within reach.

Each card shows your own site as it would look with that template: the picture is drawn on the server the first time you open the editor and drawn again when your colours, fonts or brand change, not when you add properties.

The editor works in two steps. In 1 · Template:

  1. Press Preview on a template: the live preview shows your whole site as it would look, saving nothing. Leave the preview brings back the draft you had.
  2. Press Apply to write it as the draft of all four pages (home and listings, property, header and footer) and set the brand (fonts, corners, rhythm and scheme). The page reloads with the new values; the brand colours do not change unless you ticked the suggested palette.
  3. On the current template's card, press Adjust this template to move to 2 · Adjust, where you arrange sections and choose presentations. The status line at the top says whether there are unsaved or unpublished changes: Save keeps the draft of every page and Publish publishes all four at once; Undo the last publish brings back the version published before.

Your site is a single copy of the template: once you change sections the card goes from Current to Current, adjusted, and Back to the template drops those adjustments. Applying another template replaces the whole copy, and the editor warns you first; adjustments are not kept per template. Templates never touch texts, photos or data, and search engines read the same page with any of them.

Arrange the sections of the pages#

In step 2 · Adjust, the editor lists the sections of the home page (and of the listing pages by location or amenity) and of the property page, in the order guests see them.

  1. Pick the page with the buttons at the top.
  2. Move sections with the arrows and hide them with the eye icon. Sections marked Fixed (hero, breadcrumb, property grid, booking panel, header and footer) carry the search visibility or the booking flow: they cannot be moved or hidden.
  3. Open a section's settings with the sliders icon. Every section has a Section tone: like the rest of the page, Inverted (a dark band on a light site, or a light one on a dark site, with the same brand colours) or Brand-tinted ground. Some sections add settings of their own (the number of grid columns or how many FAQ entries are shown). Many also offer a Presentation, another way to show the same content without touching texts or photos: the hero with the photo beside the title, as type alone or with a carousel of your best-rated properties beside the title (each photo links to its property and pauses while the mouse or a finger rests on it); the grid as a list or a magazine mosaic, with framed cards, text over the photo or magazine-style cards; the header centred, transparent over the hero or with the search; the grid as cards beside the map; the property gallery full-screen or as a mosaic; the description without a card; the FAQ with every answer in view; the booking panel as a bar fixed at the foot of the screen; the compact footer with its links folded away; and the property content in one column. Search engines read the same page whichever presentation you pick.
  4. Watch the Live preview while you edit: it is your real website with the changes exactly as the list shows them, even before you save. Only this signed link shows it; visitors never see it. Press Save, in the status line, to keep the changes of every page.
  5. Press Publish when you are satisfied: all four pages publish and visitors see the new layout within a few minutes. Undo the last publish brings back the layout published before, and Back to the template, on the current template's card, drops your adjustments.

The editor never changes texts, photos or property data: only the order, the visibility and the settings of each section.

Upload the logo and add trust elements#

The logo saves in a separate card. It accepts one JPG, PNG, AVIF, or WebP file between 50 × 50 and 512 × 512 pixels; a square image avoids irregular cropping and rendering.

You may also add up to ten of each:

  • Badges, with an icon and optional HTTPS link;
  • Social Media Links, selecting the platform, a complete URL, and display order.

Open every link from the public site after saving. Do not publish personal profiles, shortened links you do not control, or badges the agency is not authorized to use.

Real Regulatory and Legal form with fictional licence, privacy, cookie-policy, legal-notice, and general-booking-conditions text.
Visual example generated with fictional data; layout may vary by device.

Under Regulatory and Legal, review:

  1. the agency-level tourist licence, where applicable;
  2. privacy policy;
  3. data-protection and cookie information;
  4. legal notice;
  5. General Booking Conditions, when the agency applies its own terms to direct contracts.

These fields feed public pages and notices. General Booking Conditions appear as a footer link and within the checkout acceptance. Cancellation policy remains separate: it is not authored here, comes from Price calendar settings, and may differ for high season.

Do not use provisional text, another company's details, or an agency-level licence to conceal missing property data. Each operation also retains its own visible identifiers.

Verify the result#

Real public preview for fictional Horizon Stays with header, hero copy, language control, and Horizon House listing card.
Visual example generated with fictional data; layout may vary by device.
  1. Open the team's public URL in a private window.
  2. Check the header, homepage, footer, logo, colours, badges, and links.
  3. Switch through every configured language and look for empty, duplicated, or incorrectly translated copy.
  4. Open privacy, cookies, legal notice, and General Booking Conditions, when configured, from the footer.
  5. Start a test checkout and confirm that the booking conditions open from the acceptance checkbox without losing entered details.
  6. Repeat the review on mobile and desktop.

The two widths are launch acceptance tests, not an assumption that either layout is correct. Do not direct traffic to the site if essential copy, legal links, language controls, or the primary action are missing or unusable at either width; record the device and approximate screen width and report the failure.

After saving, first confirm that the card shows the updated values. Then open the public URL in a private window and refresh once. If the result still differs, do not repeat the save until you have checked which values the form retained.

Errors and recovery#

  • The form is missing: check plan, active team, and permissions; do not recreate the configuration.
  • A language fails validation: remove duplicates and complete all three required hero parts.
  • The logo does not save: verify format, dimensions, and that only one file is present.
  • A link is rejected: use a complete URL, including https://.
  • The booking conditions are missing: confirm that the saved field is not empty and inspect both the footer and checkout in a private window.
  • Checkout says the booking conditions changed: the text changed after checkout opened. Reopen and review it, then confirm again; do not treat that attempt as a confirmed booking or payment.
  • The public result differs: reopen the card, compare the saved values, and retain a screenshot, language, URL, and save time. If it persists, request help without overwriting the content again.

The website is visually ready only when a second agency colleague can identify the brand, read the copy, and complete the review above without internal context.
