Editing a reservation can change availability, amounts, and data synchronized to the channel manager. Proceed only with a verifiable instruction from the guest, channel, or a person with commercial authority.
Prepare the change#

- Find and verify the reservation.
- Record the previous dates, party size, reference, and amounts.
- For an OTA reservation, check whether the change has already been made on the platform. Avoid changing both sides at once unless you know which source is authoritative.
- Review availability before moving dates.
Edit#
- Open the reservation and select the Edit icon.
- Change only the confirmed fields.
- Keep the property, operation, and source platform unchanged unless you are correcting a proven error.
- If amounts change, reconcile gross total, fees, cleaning, and net again.
- Save once.
- Reopen the reservation and confirm the updated values.
Changes with special impact#
- Dates: may release or occupy nights and synchronize asynchronously.
- Party size: affects check-in operations and the traveller-record comparison.
- Phone and language: affect guest communications.
- Amounts: may affect documents and payouts.
- Platform or reference: must not be used to turn a manual reservation into an OTA booking.
A successful save confirms the local Holidario change. It is not, by itself, evidence that an external platform accepted it.
If editing is unavailable#
- Confirm that the reservation is not cancelled.
- Check that you have event-update permission and authorization for the property.
- If invoices are processing, do not try to force the change; the reservation may be temporarily locked until processing finishes.
- If an OTA-sourced change does not match, retain both references and escalate the discrepancy.
Do not save repeatedly or create a second reservation to “make it synchronize.”
Expected result#
The reservation shows the confirmed data, and every channel-impacting change is either verified or escalated with evidence.
