Rentals in Catalonia report their travellers to the Mossos d'Esquadra and rentals in the Basque Country to the Ertzaintza, not to SES.Hospedajes. Holidario decides by each rental's location: if you have flats in Barcelona and Valencia, the Barcelona ones go to the Mossos and the Valencia ones to SES, at the same time.
Neither police force lets software send the data for you. Holidario prepares the file (or a sheet with the data) and you upload it in their portal with your own credentials.
Before you start#
- Each rental needs its establishment code in Operation > Rental basics: the Mossos identifier (9 or 10 characters, for example
08043AAR02) or the Ertzaintza establishment code (6 digits). - With the Mossos, your account must be set to bulk traveller files (ficheros masivos).
- Guests with a Spanish DNI or NIE must give their document's support number. The check-in form asks for it on these rentals.
Mossos d'Esquadra#
- Open PMS > Mossos register in the sidebar (also from each stay's link in the check-in widget). The entry only appears if you have rentals in Catalonia, and Ertzaintza register only if you have them in the Basque Country.
- For each establishment, check the stays marked Ready and fix those showing Data missing.
- Click Download file. The name follows the official format, for example
08043AAR02.007.txt. - Upload it in the Mossos portal with the establishment's user and password.
- Come back to Holidario and mark It was accepted or It was rejected. If it was rejected, paste the portal's message (no traveller data).
- Delete the file from your computer: it contains identity documents.
Stays only count as reported once you mark It was accepted. If the portal rejects the file, fix the data and download a new file, or register the stay by hand from its data sheet.
One file for several rentals#
If you have several rentals in Catalonia and all of them are assigned to your Mossos user (in their portal, with the Reassignació function), you can upload them together:
- In One file for all your rentals, enter Your Mossos user: the police ID you log in to the portal with.
- Click Download combined file. It is named after your user, for example
08043AAR02.008.txt, and holds each rental with its travellers. - Upload it and record the result as with any other file.
If the portal rejects it because a rental is not assigned to your user, download each rental's file separately.
Ertzaintza#
It works like the Mossos, with one XML file per establishment that you upload in Envío de fichero in the Ertzaintza portal.
The Ertzaintza do not publish their file format: Holidario uses the SES.Hospedajes one, which everything points to. If the portal rejects it, register the stay by hand from its data sheet and note the error so we can fix it.
Deadline#
The legal deadline is 24 hours from the travellers' arrival (Royal Decree 933/2021). Holidario does not keep the files: they are built when you download them.
Expected result#
Every stay in Catalonia or the Basque Country is reported to its police force and marked as accepted in Holidario, and none is sent to SES.Hospedajes.
