Notifications are separated by user and team. Before acting on an alert, confirm the active team and open the related record in Holidario.

Work with the inbox#

  1. Open Notifications from the alert icon.
  2. Choose Unread, Read, or all available items.
  3. Filter by type to find reservations, messages, tickets, tasks, payments, or other alerts. On a large screen the type list sits beside the inbox; on a phone or tablet, open it with Filter by type.
  4. Search the title and message text of your notifications, and sort by date, type, or priority.
  5. The counts above the list describe the whole inbox, not the page you are looking at, and they do not move when you filter. The first three count unread notifications only — Unread, High priority, and those that arrived Today — while Inbox total counts read and unread alike. Each one is also a filter: select it to narrow the inbox to exactly what it counts. Any filter you apply appears as a chip you can remove one at a time.
  6. Open a notification to read its full content. Holidario marks it as read when you open it.
  7. Use the envelope action on a row, or Mark as unread on the notification itself, if it still needs follow-up. The row updates in place; the page does not reload. Type counts follow the selected Unread, All, or Read tab.
  8. Tick the checkbox on one or more rows to act on them together. The bar that appears offers Mark as Read, Mark as Unread, and Delete for that selection only. The checkbox in the list header selects every notification on the current page.
  9. Mark All as Read, above the list, marks every unread notification in the current category — including items on other pages — while leaving other categories unchanged. With no category selected it affects every unread notification in the active team, so use it only after reviewing the full queue.
  10. Deleting cannot be undone, so it always asks for confirmation first, for a single row and for a selection alike.

A notification is an alert, not final proof that an external action finished. Open the reservation, task, ticket, payment, or connection and check its current status before repeating an operation.

Blocked-date request alerts open a read-only page through View Request. Managed property owners can only open requests for authorized properties in the active team. When the agency changes the status and provides a response, the email includes it in quotation marks. Check the response and current request status; read permission does not allow editing.

Configure email and inbox delivery#

  1. Open Profile > Settings.
  2. Find Notification Settings and confirm the team named in its header.
  3. Enable or disable Email and Inbox for each available type.
  4. Save and wait for the updated-settings message.

Preferences are saved for the active team. If you belong to several agencies, switch teams and review them again. Some types support inbox only, in which case the unsupported channel is unavailable. Visible types may also vary with your role.

Booking.com Verification Action Required is available only to active members with the Admin or Manager role. It is enabled by default and supports Inbox only, never email. Holidario creates one alert for the rental when a successful check changes from no action due—or from having no first confirmed result yet—to action due. Daily checks that continue to find the same action do not duplicate the alert. Disabling this preference prevents future alerts for the active team; it does not delete existing ones.

Booking.com Verification Status Unknown has the same role and Inbox-only boundary, but it is a separate preference. If a request fails, Holidario retains the confirmed result for seven days from the last successful check and does not send this alert during that grace period. Failed attempts do not renew the date. If the result is more than seven days old, or no confirmed result is available, the status becomes unknown and one alert per rental is created on each daily run until a later successful check, even if an expired session prevents another attempt. A successful Booking response requiring action takes effect immediately. Disabled operations are excluded from the daily check and do not create these alerts. Disabling this preference prevents future unknown-status alerts without disabling action-required alerts.

Configure alerts by arrival date and role#

Only a team administrator with the Admin role can limit when a new reservation or cancellation creates a Holidario notification for each role. The rule is team-wide and is evaluated for each recipient before that person's email and inbox preferences. Employee positions do not participate in this configuration.

  1. Confirm the active team, then open Team Settings.
  2. On the Team Settings tab, find Reservation alerts by arrival date, then select Show to open the card.
  3. Find the role you want to configure. Under Notify about new reservations arriving within (days, including today), enter the number of days to include, counting today as day one. A value of 3 includes arrivals today and during the next two days; it excludes arrivals whose date has already passed.
  4. For the same role, under Notify about cancellations for arrivals up to (days from today), enter the number of future days to include. A value of 14 includes every reservation arriving in the past or today and arrivals through 14 days from today. A value of 0 keeps only arrivals in the past or today.
  5. Repeat for any other roles that need a limit.
  6. Save and wait for confirmation.

Leaving a field blank retains the previous unlimited date behavior for that notification type and role. If a person has several roles with configured limits, Holidario applies the smallest number of days; an unlimited role does not cancel a more restrictive role. If none of the person's roles has a rule for that notification type, behavior remains unlimited. The change only decides whether Holidario creates future notifications; it does not delete or hide existing alerts. “Today” uses Holidario's current operational timezone, subject to the documented timezone boundary for Canary Islands teams or portfolios spanning several timezones.

Empty states and permissions#

  • There are no notifications: this does not mean data is missing; there may be no activity for that team or filter yet. Before concluding that, switch to All and clear the type filter.
  • A type is missing: it may not apply to your role, or there may be no alert of that type yet.
  • You cannot open the linked record: the alert may remain after your authorization changes; ask the administrator to review your scope.
  • You cannot delete an alert: deletion requires a separate permission that not every role has. Marking it as read is the normal alternative.

If an expected alert did not arrive#

  1. Check the active team and both delivery preferences.
  2. For a new reservation or cancellation, ask a team administrator with the Admin role to check the arrival-date limits for your roles.
  3. Check spam and mailbox rules.
  4. Open the source record to determine whether the event happened.
  5. Ask the administrator to confirm that your membership is active and you still have the required role and resource.
  6. Escalate with the alert type, affected record, and approximate time, without forwarding credentials or complete guest data.
