When your agency leaves Holidario, leaving goes through stages: 30 days read-only to export the data and then, from day 30, the channels closed and the data deleted, by day 60. While it is under way, you can withdraw it and everything works again.
Starting to leave deletes nothing that day.
Before you start#
- You need the team's Admin role. Other people in the team don't see this tab.
- Holidario asks you to confirm it's you, unless you did so in the last 15 minutes.
- Have the handover ready: the new channel manager for your listings, and who will keep the data export.
Start leaving#

- Open Settings and choose the Leave Holidario tab.
- Read what happens at each stage: Today, Until day 30, From day 30 and By day 60.
- Tick I understand the agency becomes read-only from today.
- Press Start leaving.
- If Confirm it's you appears, enter your verification code or your password. You return to the tab; tick the box and press Start leaving again.
You see "Leaving has started". From then on the tab shows the day of leaving, until when you can export, when deletion is due and who started it.
What changes from today#
- Read-only. The whole team can view and export, but cannot save changes or send messages from Holidario. Anyone who tries sees "The agency is leaving Holidario and is read-only: no changes can be made". Look after guests from each channel.
- A notice on every page reminds everyone that the agency is leaving and until when you can export.
- Stopped:
- scheduled messages and their retries;
- payment reminders to guests and system messages;
- the Telegram bot's scheduled commands;
- conversation analysis and automatic AI replies;
- automatic rate adjustments and ads;
- AI content for your site, research and newsletters.
- New bookings on your site are paused for every listing. The listings stay visible.
- Still working:
- your channels (Booking.com, Airbnb and the rest) stay in sync, so there are no double bookings while you move;
- guests with stays still see their check-in, their guest area and their payments;
- travellers' police registration, invoicing and VeriFactu.
- The subscription is cancelled at the end of the current period: no further charges.
A message that was already queued to go out when leaving started may still be sent.
Reminders#
The agency's admins get a notice in Holidario and by email on day 0, day 15 and day 25, with the export deadline, from which the channels close, and the date deletion is due. These notices cannot be turned off.
Export the data#
Press Go to Export data, or open Settings > Export data, and prepare the export of your agency's data. Download every part and check you have what you need before day 30. Each export is deleted after 7 days; you can prepare another.
From day 30: deletion#
- From day 30: when deletion starts, Holidario closes and disconnects your channels. Move your listings to your new channel manager before day 30.
- By day 60: Holidario deletes the agency's data after reviewing and approving the deletion plan. We keep, blocked, only what the law requires us to keep. Before deleting, it closes what connected the agency outside Holidario:
- Holidario's access to Google Ads and Google Analytics;
- Holidario's webhook on your Telegram bot;
- the Stripe Connect account the agency may have from when Holidario offered it, if no balance is left on it (if there is, Holidario settles it before deleting);
- your booking site's own domain, which stops working on Holidario.
- Backups: deleted data may stay isolated in them until they expire, 90 days for daily ones and 12 months for weekly ones, and is not used again.
The deletion receipt#
When deletion finishes, the admins the agency had when it began receive the deletion receipt by email, in the agency's language. It states:
- what was deleted: rows of data, files, and the accounts of people who were in no other agency;
- what was closed outside Holidario;
- what Holidario keeps, why, and the date it destroys it;
- which keys to your own accounts you should revoke at each provider, for example Redsys, Stripe, Airbnb or Booking.com: Holidario deleted the ones it held, but they are still valid there;
- how long backups last.
It carries a signature with which Holidario can check that the receipt is genuine and unchanged. Keep it: if you were in no other agency, your Holidario account no longer exists.
Withdraw#

While leaving is under way, and until Holidario starts deleting the data, an admin can press Withdraw on the same tab. You see "You withdrew leaving" and the agency works normally again:
- the read-only notice goes;
- bookings on your site come back for the listings that leaving paused (a listing you had already paused stays paused);
- automatic processes run again;
- if the period has not ended, the subscription is reactivated.
If Holidario starts it#
Holidario can also start leaving, for example when the subscription has been expired and unpaid for 30 days. The first notice gives the reason. To stay with Holidario, pay the subscription in Settings > Billing and Subscription and withdraw, or contact us.
If something goes wrong#
- You don't see the Leave Holidario tab. Your role is not Admin. Talk to an admin of the agency.
- The tab says the account is protected. That account cannot leave from here. Contact us.
- You cannot save a change. The agency is read-only while leaving is under way. If it was a mistake, an admin can withdraw it.
- A too-many-requests notice appears. Starting and withdrawing allow 10 attempts an hour per person. Wait for the time the notice gives and try again.
